On October 30, 2024, in celebration of Na-tional Charity Day, the Our Lady of La Salette Multi-Purpose Cooperative (OLLSMPC) con-ducted an outreach activity at the La Salette Women's Foundation. This initiative aimed to promote health and hygiene among the youth by distributing essential kits to 50 children under the foundation's care.

Leading up to the event, OLLSMPC worked closely with the La Salette Women's Foundation, particularly through Sr. Arlyn Bay-bado, SNDS. This collaboration was instru-mental in identifying the specific needs of the children and assembling comprehensive health and hygiene kits, each containing items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, sani-tary supplies, towels, and blankets.

The outreach program commenced with a Thanksgiving Mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Joseph Christian M. Pilotin. This was followed by an interactive session focusing on the importance of good parenting, which was discussed by Dir.

Lorna V. Fulong. The goal was to educate the parents present during the activity on how to take care of their children responsibly.

Subsequently, the distribution of the health and hygiene kits took place, with each child receiving a personalized package. The joy and gratitude expressed by the recipients under-scored the positive impact of the initiative.

This outreach activity not only provided immediate assistance but also reinforced the cooperative's unwavering commitment to com-munity welfare and development. By addressing fundamental health needs, OLLSMPC contributed to the well-being and confidence of the children at the La Salette Women's Foun-dation. Building on the success of this event, OLLSMPC's plans to strengthen partnerships with local organizations remain a priority to maximize the reach and effectiveness of future initiatives.
